Except the resolution he cites is not good for the postal service….it is a band aid on a severed limb. The real solution is to repay the postal service the monies it is owed and leave everything else alone. The resolution he cites is a bad bill….and there are no good bills on the horizon. Because his side (the left) want he postal service to fail just as the other side (the right) want the postal service to fail.

The facts in the video are correct. Yes it was Bush’s reign but if you think this is a left/right problem you are duped. Both sides are owned by the same owners. They want to keep you in the left/right paradigm. The real problem is the owners….the bankers….wealthy elite….Federal Reserve bankers (who are European…not American). Wake up America. I just read that there are over 3 million job opens in the Country. Why are they still open? Try that people don’t have the talent or skills for the job. Americans are taking classes in philosophy, park district managing, hotel managing, etc., while other countries citizens are taking math, science, and medical fields.

@gregspencewolf I bet you are one of those folks that has no clue to what makes the economy or business work. I bet you would give a Walmart stockboy $25 per hour because YOU feel it’s a living wage. Then when Walmart increased it’s prices, bitch that they are price gouging you.
Try, business pay for the talent and demand for the job………not what YOU think is fair. Unions drive up property taxes and retail prices. And that is why manufacturing jobs move out of state.

@gregspencewolf What wacky post is “Blame it on your ex-wife too”? I don’t have an X.
Why is it that people post with no ref to what the hell has been posted?

i’ll bet mis-rep. bob latta isn’t on this bill, either! the postal service should be service only, NOT a for profit corporation! it should be self-supporting, and take in only what it needs to operate!

I blame it on your ex-wife too. :)

Ever hear there are two sides to every story? I think we’re hearing only one side here, and it doesn’t ring true.
  9. BludBaut says:
@gregspencewolf I worked in a company that had a union. It was the cause of an attitude of adversarialism that was palpable and counter-productive.

Many businesses did take advantage of workers and unions had their place, but I’ve not yet seen a good union and our laws have changed to eliminate the causes that brought the need for unions.

Our BAD educational establishment and the *evil* liberals’ (not all liberals) influence are what’s bringing our demise.

“12 dislikes”? Where are the substantial arguments against the points that Sam makes?

Who are the people marking this information with a thumbs down and why do they hate our Constitution?

This is exactly what’s happening, too the point m… in what I call “How to Privatize America” in my own blog, every single entity of value/ worth that the people of this nation have, is being auctioned off to the highest bidder basically, and if this continue’s, we the people no longer will have any right’s or word, because we will no longer have any clout or collateral. Long story though. Thanx … Well put! … Sincerly, Thomas.H.Pickering

The prepayment requirement is killing the post office it future retirees people who are not even emplyees yet. This mandate, which forces the Postal Service to pay a 75-year liability in just 10 years, costs the USPS approximately $5.5 billion per year. No other government agency or private company is required to make such payments, nor should any have to.

Wasn’t a demoncratic senate and congress in 2006 who Barney said no real estate meldown when Bush asked the the demonrats to vote on stopping wallstreet 13 times and they told him he was nuts, if true will blame on you anyway!!!!!!!!! Your are a typical Koolaid man. How many times can we bail out the union post office 6 ,7 times so far?
  23. newsblaze says:
Seems a little deranged. If it is the fault of the Right Wing, how come it was passed in the House 420 for, to 20 against, with 3 not voting. And it was passed in the Senate by Unanimous Consent. How does that make it the Right Wing doing something bad to the Postal Service? Did the right wing trick the left into voting for it? What am I missing?
  24. narutofightindreamer says:
The Big Picture tends to suggest that back in 2006 the Bush Administration decided to pay off the War in Iraq by sacraficing the Postal Service and take care of their Lobbyist Buddies from United Parcel Service and FedEx all in the same pitch.
