Is there a debt consolidation company that charges little to nothing to help me with my bills?

We really want and need to pay off and eliminate our debt. I’d like to consolidate our bills but I don’t want to have to pay a lot of money to do that. I’ve heard that there are companies that will help for little or nothing. Is this true and if so where can i find these companies?

All these companies are in business to make a profit. You can easily do this yourself and save on their fees. Add together all your bills, identify your income less necessities ( rent, food, utilities) and you have the basis on which to work. The income that you have calculated is your disposable income and the total of the bills is your debt. List both and see what you can afford to pay of each per month. Then contact all your creditors (those whom you owe money) and explain your situation and your plans to pay off the debt. In most cases they will be sympathetic, as they would prefer to get a little per month rather than nothing. Ask each creditor to freeze the interest payable in order that you may make inroads into the amount owed rather than the service costs. Above all stick to the plan.

    I would recommend http://www.consolidate-bills.com

I’ve been working with them 2 times and I am very happy with the results. After you fill out the short online form with your contact information, a professional debt counselor will contact you and provide a free credit card debt analysis, and discuss your options. You may then decide if the program is right for you.

    * Drastically lower or even eliminate interest rates!
    * Substantially reduce your monthly payments!
    * Consolidate your bills into one simple payment!
    * Eliminate late charges and over the limit fees!
    * Cut the years it takes to pay off your debt, fast!
    * No Credit Checks, Home ownership NOT required

    Hope this helps.
