Link to Lawline CLE Seminar: www.lawline.com Course Description: The present-day rise in foreclosures has created many social and economic problems throughout the nation. Foreclosures have been particularly prevalent in Florida where real estate prices severely crashed after rising out of control. Join real estate attorney Peter Chontos in this program where he talks about the foreclosure quagmire in Florida. Mr. Chontos begins his presentation by explaining how foreclosures began, defining prevalent terms, and providing nationwide statistics. He then goes on to discuss the various alternatives that exist to avoid foreclosure (rent, refinance, loan modification, short sale, deed in lieu of foreclosure, bankruptcy) and how home owners can employ them. This is a great course for attorneys who would like to represent their clients through foreclosure proceedings in Florida.
