Is 9.5% ridiculously high for a student loan consolidation…should I take it?

I am paying one consolidated federal loan, and I have 4 alternative loans about to begin. The only interest rate I can get (without a cosigner) is 9.5%…Should I just do 5 payments a month? My husband and I have lived in our home for 6 years. when we financed we split our loan (1st and 2nd mortgage) to avoid PMI. how do you take someones name off a mortgage without refinancing

As part of divorce settlement, house must be refinanced into my name only. I have already done a quit claim and deed in my name only, but i am having trouble qualifying for a refi with good rates my current rate is 5% can I take the other name off the mortgage without a refi???
