Take a Ride With the Foreclosure Eviction Patrol

AP Correspondent Haven Daley rode along with sheriff’s deputies responsible for evicting foreclosed homeowners. Last year they’d get a few foreclosure-related calls every week. Now they’re evicting dozens of homeowners weekly. (Oct. 29)

If the banks are going to take your home then the only option left is to destroy it so they can never profit from their actions.

How fast the Sheriffs show up at your depends on YOU! Did you respond the the Eviction paperwork? Did you sit and do nothing? Once the Judge has granted possession of the property back to the Bank or 3rd party that bought the home at the Auction, the Sheriffs will post a 5 Day Vacate Notice on the door. If you are not out in 5 Days, the Sheriffs come to your home with the County Locksmith and escorts you out of the property. They might give you 10-15 minutes to gather your things.

@deadringer1976 “USAGE Irregardless, with its illogical negative prefix, is widely heard, perhaps arising under the influence of such perfectly correct forms as : irrespective. Irregardless is avoided by careful users of English. Use regardless to mean ‘without regard or consideration for’ or ‘nevertheless’

@kendra32 Banks…they took our tax money and what do they do in return? they boot families from their houses while their employees make minimum wage and the bosses make millions in bonuses,God bless America.
  21. kraut420 says:
this is misleading. it can take months of not paying your payments for them to START the foreclosure process. It can take months to actually foreclose on you with how backed up they are. Once they serve you the foreclosure notice, you can’t be evicted for at least 90 days. So it’s not like these people were hit without any warning and the Sheriff shows up at the door and tell them to pack up and go. I don’t understand how they have not made other living arrangement by this point.
  22. AtheismandSkepticism says:
    Must be a thankless job.

I’m wondering, though, is it really proper for the police to work for banks? Surely the bank should only send around the police if the residents refuse to leave and become violent, after the bank sends around representatives…

    Oh well.. shitty world..
