For you, I wouldn’t get an attorney at all. Tell your credit card collectors that they’re not allowed to call you at home and you have every intention of paying off first the ones that are the nicest to you and ready to “deal”. Your life will return to normal, and you will eventually pay them off.
Just wait for the collection letters to come in. Then a whole new ball game opens up. You can negotiate and settle these debt and not hurt your credit near as much.
